Edition of 1 Original Art
The very essence of my landscape photography is the expression of my personal interpretation of that experience of the landscape before me. I always seek to find what is its inherent character as expressed by the unique compositional or thematic elements that may be present, be they, context of location, color, texture, line, shape, light, or thematic metaphorical content. I believe a creatively substantive, well designed image tells a story, a story that reveals a deeper and perhaps more essential or even profound quality and character of a place in time that I stand before. As such, every landscape represents to me, the canvas of a living painting, a painting that beckons my participation in a unique rendering of a new work of art.
In the world of fine art landscape photography, the offering by photographers of limited editions of their prints, upwards of 25-500 and beyond is quite common. As such, that means that there are dozens or hundreds of copies of that single photograph in circulation. These prints may be limited, but not unique like an original work of art.
As this is the nature of collecting fine art landscape photography in today’s market, I am pleased to offer my collectors these very special, selected images from my collection as 1/1 limited editions. This represents the concept of original photographic art. This means, that, like acquiring an original painting from an artist, my collector possesses the one and only print of that image. This not only makes it uniquely special, it makes it extremely valuable, and an investment in a single edition work of art that will only appreciate over time, and as such, truly a valuable addition to any discerning art collector’s portfolio.
I will print a one only artist proof as well. These prints are my personal copies of each image, and may be purchased as a 1/1 artist proof piece.
